About me

I am a DJ who hates DJs in general, so I decided to call myself Ersatz DJ. At first I started out in 2001 at an irregular event that was privately organized (as co-organizer), then moved on to various events in different locations all over Bavaria, mostly gothic/indie- and  sometimes fetish-parties. These days I work for an internet-radio (Gothdimension) and am generally for hire for weddings, bar mitzvahs, school dances and funerals*. On my radioshows I play mainly 80s Wave (or pretty much everything post-Punk) on one side and experimental/ambient and folky sound on the other side, so if you’re in a band or a record label that fits one of these descriptions, feel free to contact me, I’m always looking forward to discovering new/unknown bands and sounds.

*That last part was actually a joke, but I might consider doing it if someone really wanted me to. So far, only one person asked me to do a funeral, but that didn’t work out.
